RIP
2016
'Rip' is a piece comprised of 12 velvet canvases.  In the Odyssey, in order to push her 106 suitors away, Penelope promised them she'd marry one of them the day she'd be done weaving her father-in-law's burial shroud.  So she would weave during the day and unweave at night, so as to never choose a new husband.  This is the idea behind the piece 'RIP' as the embroidery is sewn and then partially unsewn.
