Hogchester Arts
03 Jun-15 Jun 2019
Devon, UK

Hogchester Arts is a not for profit arts organisation interested in intersections between contemporary art practices and the beautiful 75-acre conservation site of Hogchester Farm in rural West Dorset.

Created and directed by the artist Chantal Powell, Hogchester Arts hosts an artist-in-residence programme and bi-annual summer exhibition.

Hogchester Arts also collaborates with organisations, individuals and galleries that share our interests in jungian depth learning, ritual & storytelling, process led research using natural resources, and our mythic relationship with the land and subconscious.

The Artist Residency Programme offers opportunities for artists to stay and work within the immersive environment of Hogchester and to respond to its unique history and varied, ancient landscape.

Hogchester hopes to gain new insights into the understanding of itself through the exploratory practices of visiting artists in residence.

The residency also offers an exhibition opportunity, as Hogchester hosts an annual exhibition of works created during, or inspired by, artists’ residency periods.
