Deseos Diferentes proposed by curator Dorothée Dupuis, is a collective exhibition exploring contemporary femininity through works by Claribel Calderius, Nicole Chaput, Dorothée Dupuis, Melanie McLain, Elsa-Louise Manceaux, Adeline de Monseignat, Sofia Moreno, Berenice Olmedo, Athenea Papacostas and Paloma Rosenzweig. Revisiting 1970s “feminism of difference,” the show reflects on how the category “woman” was constructed to claim rights and visibility, and how these ideas evolved through queer and transfeminist perspectives. Through painting, sculpture, installation, video and performance, the exhibition foregrounds desire, embodiment, language and nature, inviting audiences to reimagine gender, identity and radical possibilities today.
