You’ve been getting ready for your degree show for years… Now that it’s showtime, how can you make this the event that kicks off your ongoing career as an artist?
Find out how to use your creative and problem-solving skills to introduce and develop an audience, build a professional network, document the show with quality and start building your reputation.
In this talk, you will reflect on the right strategy for your practice. You will find out essential things to put in place, and when. You will also learn about how to juggle the completion of art pieces and everything else that needs to be done to create a degree show legacy.
Artists Briony Marshall (The Art Academy 2004) and Adeline de Monseignat (MA City & Guilds 2011) will divulge insight in a panel discussion chaired by Be Smart About Art Founder Susan Mumford. Following the moderated talk that will be packed with gems of advice, you will have an opportunity to ask burning questions during a Q&A session with the speakers. Before and after the discussion, attendees will have an opportunity to work on building their peer network.
